About Sue
I am an artist and photographer, living near Inverness
in the Scottish Highlands
in the Scottish Highlands
I am a self-taught artist and photographer. During the 1970’s and 80’s I worked in the music industry as a freelance photographer, having my work published in most major music publications such as Sounds, Kerrang, Metal Hammer and NME. I also provided photographs for band tour programmes, publicity material and album sleeves. Since moving to Scotland in 1982, I have qualified as a landscape designer, and enjoy creating artwork inspired by both music and the landscape.
I also enjoy photographing and painting the animals at the Highland Wildlife Park, Kincraig, near Aviemore - especially the Amur tigers,Scottish wildcats, Eurasian lynx and the polar bears! I currently volunteer at Aigas field Centre, helping to care for the Scottish Wildcats held there as part of the Scottish Wildcat Action Project.
I work mainly in pastels, but enjoy experimenting with all kinds of mediums.
